what's in this? we get get an avocado, parmesan, basil, pine nut and tomato sandwich, which gets my vote. if you guys don't have that, i'm sorry.

Humous & Roasted Peppers - would give you fierce gas from both ends though

My local one only has a tiny tiny selection of these. I was happy until I went to the website and realised the smorgasboard of delights I was missing out on.

The margherita wrap (discontinued - R.I.P.) was even better. So for this poll, another vote for the Swedish Meatballs.

Pret has ludicrous hours, though; they all seem to close at 6pm.

I go to Pret in NY although I am always disappointed by how few sandwich types they have comparatively. They are good if you want a sandwich that is light compared to the huge monster meat sandwiches you find everywhere else in NY. Plus you can get a half sandwich now.

Yo, kids who work in London's fashionable Central Eastern media districts: what's the deal with Fuzzy's Grub? Worth bothering with?

They do a roast dinner in a sammich, about twice the size of a Pret baguette but it costs a fiver. They can even put mash and Yorkshire puddings in it, but that's a bit filthy.

It's a bit Harvester carvery, if that floats your boat.

Anyone else been in the Pret on Great Eastern Street? It's massive and has loads of tables but there's only ever about three types of sandwich.

I think I am going for Fuzzy's Grub this lunchtime.

Caffe Nero and "best" shouldn't exist in a sentence tbf.

I think I'm jaded because my market town's been overrun by Neros and Starbucks's to the detriment of the lovely Hitchin teahouse. Seriously, one town does not need this much fucking coffee!!

Sill have never gone to a Starbucks. YAY ME.

Nero's coffees are at least drinkable, unlike all other chains' coffee I've had the displeasure of sampling.

i must admit i once had a lovely hot chocolate the one time i ventured into a nero.

Nero's coffee is pretty obviously better than most of the other big chains IMO. Although when you come out of one you have this weird feeling of having been in the pub, pre-smoking ban.

Nero does proper Italian hot chocolate, the thick/gummy stuff, which wins bonus pints from me.

OMG IT'S TRUE. what is this bizarre phenom???

I used to attribute it to the fact you could smoke in there, but post-smoking ban it's still the same. It's probably a combination of lighting and whatever they put in the coffee that gives you that sense of hyper-awareness of your environment and feeling a bit manky that you got from boozing in a smokey room during the daytime. NB - as far as I'm aware this only happens in daylight hours.

Crayfish thai noodle is good and surprisingly spicy for a sandwich shop chain...I agree with the comment upthread that their staff are usually good and fast at processing queues.

I’ve noticed a really poor range in a few other Prets as well. I think that as you get closer you get to Pret HQ (in Victoria), they tend to have a better selection.

The basic tomato and brie baguette is secretly the best Pret sandwich.

I had severe stomach cramps and badly upset digestion from a brie and tomato baguette from Pret twice last month, and have now abandoned buying it. I wonder if they've had complaints.

They need to make sure they keep those baguettes at the right temperature.
