If you shoved her out of the way to perform CPR, you would have been in the clear legally. Hell, if she tried to stop you, you basically could have cold cocked her and been okay. Its legally assumed that he would want to, you know, live, and so she would have been in trouble for attempting to interfere, if anything. Of course, what you actually needed was a defib, and more than likely there wasn't one around. Plus I have no idea if you've ever been trained to use one. They're not really tough anyhow: the pads tell you were to put it in pictograms, and most of 'em have a screen that reads the instructions.

This reminds me of someone who suddenly went into cardiac arrest at work not long ago. The woman had just bought some shampoo at a nearby table, and after collapsing, the people at the table had the nerve to come back over to her body and pick it up off the ground and return it to the table for sale. No lie.

I thought you meant they put her body back onto the table for sale for a moment there. I was rather baffled.

Adolph bin Streisand is a notorious cockfarmer around here so I wouldn't get too worked up about what he says he saw, TBH.

An aside from those seeking to lower the likelihood: coronaries are common during and after fatty meals, and the mechanisms involved (postprandial lipemia & endotoxemia, endothelial inflammation, matrix metalloproteinase expression, plaque rupture, downstream thrombosis) are becoming clear 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8. People can live with stable plaques, but inflaming their caps every meal is a bad idea.
