I didnt think they did the ultrasound shattering thing on gallstones, only on kidney stones? Everything I've read and been told is just "get it removed". Apaz we dont need a gall bladder. Which weirds me out.

You can get dried cherries, if those help him.

There is a lot of information on the web, such as About, but you have to keep in mind that anyone can post anything they like on-line, so really your best resource will be medical professionals.

Funny this thread should be revived now - I just had confirmation by ultrasound (took my time, hey) that I dont have gallstones after all; but I may have "sludge" (pre-stone gunk). Am having CT scan soon, to find out more - could be something else like my liver or stomach!

One good thing tho: it forces me to avoid fats. Great diet!

Will you be saved by SONAR?

errr.. eh?

Sorry, that's my brain being odd. Ultrasound is a descendant of sonar, and I just like the idea of being able to tell people "My life was saved by SONAR!"

Looking forward to hobbling through a long bar shift tonight. But I had about a day of warning signs, long enough to get my indomethacin refilled yesterday while I was getting a strep test. So the toe felt broken this morning but just feels badly stubbed now. Ha, fuck you gout!
