It's ever so slightly out of sync for me, but otherwise very nice.

Very good performance so far, I had a drop out during "15 Step" but otherwise coming through just fine on both audio and video.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:24 (fifteen years ago) link

I forgot how awesome Talk Show Host is. "I'll be waiting, with a gun and a pack of sandwiches..."

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 03:26 (fifteen years ago) link

Really lovely performances of all the In Rainbows songs in particular.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:29 (fifteen years ago) link

arpeggi now - their drummer is great.

phantompenguin, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:30 (fifteen years ago) link

yeah I'm not a huge Arpeggi fan but it's really clicking right now - awesome backing vocals, nice guitar tones

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 03:31 (fifteen years ago) link

I hadn't heard The Gloaming from the most recent tour. People on the other thread were arguing about the changes in the live performance as opposed to the recorded version, when the change was made, etc.

As other people said, from the very beginning, in 2003, the live version was noticeably different (and improved, imo) from the recording. But those that noticed new changes in the this tour's version were also correct. It's in stage 3 now, pretty much, and getting better with every new evolution.

Z S, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:39 (fifteen years ago) link

Ah, the volume kicked back in. They'd lowered it a bit for a couple of songs there. (Nigel Godrich is doing the mix, FWIW.)

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:44 (fifteen years ago) link

I think this is the first time I've been able to make out the words to "Faust Arp." Quite nice.

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 03:49 (fifteen years ago) link

That was sweet, Ed and Colin were making out.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:49 (fifteen years ago) link

wow i think that might be the clearest i've ever heard Ed sing.

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:53 (fifteen years ago) link

Just a stellar version of "Jigsaw Falling Into Place" now.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 03:55 (fifteen years ago) link

haha thom is really mangling those words

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 03:57 (fifteen years ago) link

nice barbed take on "The Bends"

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:01 (fifteen years ago) link

Damn my audio keeps cutting off and I love vintage radiohead.

Moka, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:01 (fifteen years ago) link

I have a feeling recordings of this one will be easy to find...

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:03 (fifteen years ago) link

hair-cam!

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:05 (fifteen years ago) link

All right, was waiting for "Bodysnatchers"

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:07 (fifteen years ago) link

Watching Jonny play on this one is especially hypnotic.

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:08 (fifteen years ago) link

Yar. Was my stupid firewall, don't know why it wasn't giving any problems on the first 5 songs.

Moka, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:08 (fifteen years ago) link

"This is the 21st Century..."

Bimble, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:10 (fifteen years ago) link

Hmm, and that'll nicely fill up a CD, the main set! Now for the encores.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:11 (fifteen years ago) link

god that was amazing.

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:12 (fifteen years ago) link

oooh, cymbal rush!

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:14 (fifteen years ago) link

Gosh the sound quality on this is really incredible.

Bimble, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:18 (fifteen years ago) link

Well this was inevitable! (Hoping they do "Videotape" too and that'll be the whole album.)

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:19 (fifteen years ago) link

This is the only song off 'in rainbows' which I'm still compelled to hear, I wished they didnt play videotape and instead opted from more kid a or the bends. I love the whole IR album but I need to give it some time... I think I've overplayed it enough.

Moka, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:23 (fifteen years ago) link

Anyone noticed how when the white light hit Thom earlier he kind of resembled Damo Suzuki? It all makes sense now.

Moka, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:25 (fifteen years ago) link

bimble, paranoid android!

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:25 (fifteen years ago) link

I kinda felt that way when they did Videotape at the show I saw too - stripped of the context of being the last song on In Rainbows, it was like "um, could you choose another one please?"

Yes, Paranoid Android! :)

Bimble, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:26 (fifteen years ago) link

I heart "Go Slowly."

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:32 (fifteen years ago) link

I never play these bonus tracks anymore.

Bimble, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:35 (fifteen years ago) link

Yay. :-) (I really do like "Videotape")

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:44 (fifteen years ago) link

there you go, nedward.

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:44 (fifteen years ago) link

Yah I change my mind that was a very good rendition of the song.

Moka, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:48 (fifteen years ago) link

Okay, now I'm REALLY happy.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:53 (fifteen years ago) link

live "Idioteque" is one of the greatest things ever conceived.

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:54 (fifteen years ago) link

WOO IDIOTEQUE!

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:54 (fifteen years ago) link

when is Ed's solo record out?

Simon H., Friday, 29 August 2008 04:56 (fifteen years ago) link

Thom sure reminded me of some Ian Curtis dance moves for a bit there...

Bimble, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:58 (fifteen years ago) link

Somehow ending on some roadies and Flight of the Conchords seems apt.

Ned Raggett, Friday, 29 August 2008 04:59 (fifteen years ago) link

haha yeah. If you want me to..

Roz, Friday, 29 August 2008 05:00 (fifteen years ago) link

"Wow" @ Reckoner.

piscesx, Friday, 29 August 2008 05:29 (fifteen years ago) link

goddamnit I missed this

akm, Friday, 29 August 2008 05:30 (fifteen years ago) link

I know it's a little bit late for a reply, but, yeah, I saw them. Rio and SP. In Rainbows in its entirety and Creep as final song.
