Acid Mothers Temple on Tour

They fucking destroyed Chicago's Empty Bottle, last night. Brilliant from start to finish. Frenzied. Brain-flaying. Superconductive. Etc.

this bodes well for my plans tonight! are they freakishly loud or anything? I don't like to wear earplugs, tho I will if I have to.

Very freakishly loud, though it's a loud venue to begin with. Just white noise, at a few points. You could see them playing, but it was just a wall of static.

these dudes + titus andronicus in the same week = rawken out

i've been waiting for a band to end their set like that for my entire life. like not specifically two guitars hanging from the ceiling and feedbacking while the rest of the band go nuts rawkin out, but at least that sort of totally unhinged wave of noise that just grows and grows uncontrollably. these dudes understand sweet motherfucking release more than any band i've ever seen.
