you're not douche bags, but you are cry baby no skills, it's undeniable. Keep honin' your skillz at Butter Bridge 2, we who are 1337 will be trouncing Tubular without even thinking about it too much.

one year passes...

I finally found that 96th exit. I never cleared the goal in Star Road 2.

beat "tubular" today on my second to last life before we'd agreed we were gonna turn the game off. no yoshis no capes no gimmicks, just super tight maneuvering. this game is a shade too easy 90% of the time, but when it decides to get hard, it's fair-hard, satisfying-hard.

a few months ago I was hanging out w/ a buddy who had the SNES Classic and we decided to give this a go. it was harder than I remembered! then again when I was 11 I had no issue with it so the problem is probably with me. maybe I'm too used to the New Super Mario Bros. games which are more forgiving. btw if you didn't know the New SMB game has a "World 9" which is full of super difficult levels like this...I eventually beat them all but it was a slog. "Tubular" is probably more difficult than any of those though.

the one thing that surprised me about "tubular" is how short it is, versus what you'd expect for some like, brain-busting super-challenge level created by fans using hacks or the new mario maker or whatever. there's not even a halfway market!
