From the entry on Frank R. Stockton:

He supported himself as an alleged hot dog eating champion until his father's death in 1860; he broke the world record by eating 2.5 hot dogs and buns in 60 seconds.

In 2005, [Ozzy Osbourne] released a box set called Prince of Darkness. The first and second discs are collections of live performances, B-sides, demos and singles. The third disc contained duets and other odd tracks with other artists, including "Born to Be Wild" with Miss Piggy.

I just thought it was hilarious how that particular meeting was so blandly singled out among the more conventional collaborations - the ones with actual musicians. (I'd never heard of that particular meeting and had to confirm that it wasn't vandalism.)

Well, looking at the album credits, Miss Piggy is probably the most famous of those collaborators.

As concepts of both hustle and flow are unique to African American culture, it turned out to be nearly impossible to find proper translations for international release of the film. For example, the Russian translation of the title means "The fuss and the torrent".

At one point:

The album label lists band members as Carla Bozulich, Harold "Biff" Barefoot Sanders III and Wee-Wee (John Napier). Bozulich later went on to found the band Geraldine Fibbers and Biff Sanders was a founding member of Eric Avery's side project Polar Bear. Wee Wee is currently attending Humboldt State University and in his junior year as a social work major with a minor in Native American studies in addition to producing and/or recording bands between semesters.

Further down the page underneath the usual 'stub' marker:

Half of this article is totally wrong and none of it represents the true spirit of the band. At least you know exactly what school John is going to.

The song is often misspelled as "Ferry 'Cross the Mersey", but according to the song's lyrics, the track is correctly titled "Ferry Cross the Mersey". "Cross" is not a contraction of "Across", rather, it is a request of the ferry: "Ferry, cross the Mersey." The ferry is the Mersey Ferry, which still runs to Liverpool from Birkenhead and Seacombe on the Wirral.

Instrumentation
Power metal guitarists and bassists generally play rapid streams of notes, but change chords comparatively slowly, with a harmonic tempo of once per measure or slower.

That's a somewhat odd way of describing it.

Wingdings has a history of controversy. In 1992, only days after the release of Windows 3.1, it was discovered that the character sequence "NYC" in Wingdings was rendered as a skull and crossbones symbol, Star of David, and thumbs up gesture. This could be interpreted as a message of approval of killing Jews, especially those from New York City. Microsoft strongly denied this was intentional, and insisted that the final arrangement of the glyphs in the font was largely random. (The character sequence "NYC" in the later-released Webdings font, in turn, is rendered as eye, heart, and city skyline, which could be interpreted as "I Love New York". Microsoft has stated that this is intentional.)[2]

A French tickler is a latex condom that is designed with additional protrusions, for enhancing the sexual pleasure of the user.
A typical French Tickler uses a number of bumps, crests and falls in the lining of the latex ostensibly to make sexual intercourse more enjoyable or pleasurable for the recipient. They may also have hair-like protrusions.

from the entry on George Selden (author of Cricket in Times Square)

In 1974, under the pseudonym of Terry Andrews, Selden wrote the novel The Story of Harold, the story of a bisexual children's book author's various affairs, friendships, and mentoring of a lonely child. The book is very descriptive of a time and a culture in Western homosexual practices. Extreme scenes of sado-masochism, orgies and other very shocking material, to some. It is also autobiographical in the sense the author writes of a character who writes Children's books and yet leads this Gay lifestyle that most would find of ill repute even today. The relationship to the boy and also the author own feelings regarding his own existence are the main keys in this novel.
