Not in my Top 10 Coltrane albums, but a very good album. Voted Naima.

wow, never saw these results, surprisingly good showing for "Syeeda"!

yeah, i love that song ... this poll had me pull out the Atlantic Recordings box. Even though I listen more to the Impulse years, there is a ridiculous amount of great music on there. The only dud I think is the session he did with Ornette's band -- a good idea, but it sounds off for some reason.

nine years pass...

Title cut and "Naima" are kinda too obvious

there's a reason obvious shit is obvious

Assume you know the story about Paul Erdős, or maybe if was Halmos, probably the former.

Unless it was Wolfgang Pauli, or G.H. Hardy, or Walter Rudin! https://hsm.stackexchange.com/questions/7247/in-a-popular-anecdote-who-took-20-minutes-to-decide-that-a-thing-was-obvious

Countdown is just long solo, iirc. Was this the first time he did this?

I listen to this album a lot now. I listened to it the other day. Not sure what I'd vote for. Spiral maybe?
