Tough call between "Me and Paravati" and "A Little Something". Very tough.

"Mr Rainbow," definitely

Casablanca > Ancnablasac, too, btw, but that's maybe another poll

I love both versions, Acnalbasac rocks harder thanks to Faust, but the chamber arrangements on Casablanca add a whole extra layer

when Ça Va came out in 1997 I liked a few songs but wasn't sure about the production, one too many drum loops. then I went back about four years ago and realized I knew every song by heart, it's a great record

two years pass...

Interesting cover here. Kind of reminds me of Amon Duul 2 covering Slapp Happy (which isn't that much of a stretch).

Hmmm... is it just me or is that a cover of the Bongwater cover? TUT TUT ladies.

I've never heard of her before, but apparently her name is Togawa Jun. She sounds like an interesting character: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jun_Togawa

Might have to do some digging, to be honest.

I love Jun Togawa. Never knew she covered Slapp Happy. She's been in many bands, favorite one is Guernica and that's probably the best place of entry for Slapp Happy / Kurt Weill fans

though I like some of her 80's technopop too in the same way I like Nina Hagen

Guernica, Jun Togawa's band

& she comes up a bit here too: Kiyohiko Senba and his Haniwa All Stars

I heard Acnalbasac Noom first, and so when I heard the Casablanca Moon version it was interesting to see that the Bongwater cover is basically a clone of that version and not the rockin' version on AN. But you're right on that cover, they clearly got the lyrics from Bongwater
