Will the new album be less compressed than the debut? I am asking because the debut album was probably one of the loudest albums ever released, and I just cannot listen to it. It may be good, possible, but it wears my ears and head out to such an extent I just wasn't able to enjoy it.

seeing as this album was financed by a major label, i'm willing to bet that they're just fucking around with this song (see also: album cover) and they'll put out a real single in a week or two

In the late summer of 2008, MGMT entered the Norwegian singles list at #1 with "Kids". The week after, it was completely gone. This one week at #1 in the singles list was MGMT's only placing ever on the Norwegian hitlists. I guess people smelled an obvious hype...

the track at Pfrk (Flash Delerium) is much better than the one above, but it is kind of a mess, maybe in a good way.
