the sacro-iliac for me

I prefer the first album to this TBH. Its still good, but there's a couple of tracks I find quite irritating, "Clockwork Creep" for example.
Anyway, 'Somewhere in Hollywood', with 'Wall Street' a close second.

This album not as good as I thought it was on re-listening - if anyone votes for "Clockwork Creep" they should be taken out and shot down like a dog! Some dodgy "70s" racial stereotyping on quite a few tracks here! Fave tracks: The Wall Street Shuffle, Old Wild Men, Somewhere in Hollywood.
the "Norman Mailer/Wants to nail her" couplet from "Somewhere in Hollywood" deserves some kind of award
Ditto:
"I had a part in the talkiesWhen you were a little girlI've taken Lassie for walkiesWhen she was the pup that vaudeville threw upAnd destiny lead herHand in paw to Somewhere In Hollywood"

"Clockwork Creep" has a great chorus, even if the lyrics are a bit creepy (I don't care much about lyrics anyway). And the way it was continued into "I'm Mandy Fly Me" two years later was even more brilliant.

I don't care much about lyrics anyway, the song's just irritating as fuck!

Way too few votes, but correct winner.

Suspect an Original Soundtrack thread will do better. The only mystery, tho, will be what the 2nd place song is.

I know there are some fans of "Wall Street Shuffle" here on ILM, so puzzled nobody voted for that one.

Just recently discovered this album (only knew their "greatest hits" so far). I hear a lot of Zappa and Steely Dan in there. Faves so far are "Old White Men" (that slow drip chorus) and "The Sacro-Iliac".
