Still haven't got round to listening to the January one yet even though I d/l it about 3 weeks ago. It seems churlish to complain when they're giving us a new mix for free each month, but it's definitely taken the sheen off my love for Aeroplane as I don't think any of them have come close to the quality of their earlier mixes.

Still have very high hopes for the album though which is 'close' to being finished apparently

Track of the year for me right there that Paris/ Flight Facilities mash.

Yeah, I'm not usually into mashups (oh, obviously, except for kyliesaidtojason's upcoming masterpiece that will define my generation and blow my mind, clearly) but that moment of that mix is just... sublime.

You could put anything on top of that Friendly Fires remix and it would be awesome.

No, there's something especially spine-tingling about Giselle's vocal delivery on that Flight Facilities (god, how many more FF bands do we need?) track. I'm becoming totally obsessed with it.

so still no talk of the new track? i think it's incredible! is that a sample or did they get a band for these new productions? i guess you have to be able to stomach the child spoken-word bit at the beginning to get into it, but it works well imo! so excited for the album!

Aeroplane; the remixers du jour and one of the most blogged and talked about acts in recent times, have been putting the finishing touches on their eagerly anticipated debut LP set for release on Sept 6th through Wall Of Sound in the UK.

Why release something which is so obviously gonna be a massive SUMMER record, in September?

Because it's still nice and sunny in September? (or, it has been the past couple years)

Because we can listen to these mixes over the summer!

Here's hoping it leaks two months early.

Actually, no, I don't. Because I am going to be spending the entire month of July basically going OMG OMG SWOON OMG over the School of Seven Bells album. By September I might be prepared to listen to other music again.
