not to dl, i might throw together some CD versions & sell them broken up into traxx tho
but seeing as you can get basically any of those individual tracks by asking me, why bother?
k3vin there are mad blended transitions on it u gotta respect the architect in this case imo

i really feel like allstar and lil b are at the vanguard of something really interesting, just dudes with laptops and blogs/twitter/youtube/whatever, recording like crazy, putting everything out there for a small group of dedicated fans who will listen to it all, clearly enjoying themselves a lot and taking chances being weird with their music
kinda like what soulja boy was on to but with a considerable amount of lyrical ambition
― surfboard dudes get wiped out, totally, Thursday, 4 February 2010 02:51 (fourteen years ago) link
yeah the blends are v good on deej's tape
― ratface killah (J0rdan S.), Thursday, 4 February 2010 02:52 (fourteen years ago) link
also, gotta love a mixtape with three covers, a decimal in its title, 1 subtitle, a separate title for both "sides" of the "tape", PLUS track names for each song on the two sides

j stalin's a way better rapper imo
― average gangsta rap from average gangstas (deej), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:27 (fourteen years ago) link
stalin is a good artist but as a rapper qua rapper it's not even close
― The ss (J0rdan S.), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:36 (fourteen years ago) link
lyrically, flowing, hooks w/e
― The ss (J0rdan S.), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:37 (fourteen years ago) link
i understand what you see in all these bay guys -- they come off as very 'real' & 'normal' and that certainly improves their aesthetic as street kingpin types in the way that rick ross is make believe -- but you have to understand how they can also fall on the other side of that line which = "boring"
― The ss (J0rdan S.), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:39 (fourteen years ago) link
i dont think j stalin is boring at all. personality, flow, the professionalism of his rap style i just like a lot more
lyrically yelawolf is more of a lyrically lyrical cat, stalin gets straight to the point, but i dont at all in any way think stalin is boring at all ... hes a standout from his scene, not typical of it
― average gangsta rap from average gangstas (deej), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:44 (fourteen years ago) link
i mean ive heard you defend way more generic rappers than stalin before!
― average gangsta rap from average gangstas (deej), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:46 (fourteen years ago) link
i think there is more vitality to stalin's music whereas the jacka is like someone's uncle rapping
― The ss (J0rdan S.), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:47 (fourteen years ago) link
haha -- i love jacka in the way i love cormega in terms of lyrical style (who also kinda sounds like someone's uncle rapping any more??)
― average gangsta rap from average gangstas (deej), Friday, 5 February 2010 03:48 (fourteen years ago) link
i'm an ageist when it comes to music tho
well i certainly have yeah, and i don't dislike stalin but his particular rapping aesthetic is less catnip for me
i dig the bay area stuff that's more chill
