Apologies if this is a silly question, but I genuinely don't know - are fireworks a part of Eid celebrations? There was a noticeable uptick in fireworks going off near my house last night and I couldn't pin down why, particularly since we'd had a kind of stormy evening that didn't feel like one of those beautiful weather nights people are just hanging out.

today I learned that there are two eids, and they follow the lunar calendar so are 11 days earlier every year.
