I can overdose on him a bit easily, but when I'm in the mood, he is just impossibly good.

my favorite is Rough Dancer and the Cyclical Night though all three of those American Clavés are great. The mid to late 70's stretch are all key: Libertango, Lumiere, Persecuta & Biyuya. (1st and 3rd probably my preferentials but I should check the other two because I am years older now since the last listens)

Is that a real one or an ILM one?

I am years older since my last listens to 'la camorra', too.

The only bit of piazolla action that I've gotten since those classic nu- ilx days has been a documentary on BBC four about his life w/ full interviews with sidemen, family and a ton of footage (gotta have that!) and another viewing of "happy together". Listening to the music on that is as good a reason as any to catch that film again.

fifteen years pass...

saw Happy Together again the other night (devastating!) so Tango Apasionado has now been running through my head for two days. so beautiful.
