yeah where did he go? this thread is dead without him

I took a break after I lost my job back in mid-august. One of the things they didn't like was my internet usage, which was used as part of the excuse to cut me since the company is shedding employees thanks to a down market.

My anxiety levels during my unemployment got untenable; I had an anxiety attack that wednesday and spent the day before I posted that all tranqed up. I couldn't face the repeated exposure to all these assholes reminding me of how unstable everything(incl. my financial standing) is and how they're working night & day to make things worse, so I put my political intake on pause. Hell, I even stopped listening to Thom Hartmann & Ed Schultz during the day.

I got a better job now(less high-tech, more blue collar, FAR better working enviro and wages and they have an office cat), but i'm not sitting at a desk or a labbench for 8 hours straight anymore, which is why my posting has fallen off.

I still don't feel stable/secure enough to start following all this shit again, so i'm going to let you guys take care of that for a while.

Remember, all the links you'll need are in the first post. Go forth and spread the word.

Faithmouse Pornography

In February of 2007, Dan Lacey registered an account on the Something Awful forums and posted sexually explicit pictures of Faithmouse characters in FYAD, and again in GBS. Though his foray into furry porn was not well received by FYAD, who seemed only to wish that he would never post there, GBS embraced Lacey's latest offerings as a sign of his spiral into insanity and began to request commissions. Richard Kyanka requested that Lacey collaborate with Shmorky in a flash animation project, but there has been no word on further developments.

and what, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 17:05 (sixteen years ago) link

Not a commission, he's really insane!

Shakey Mo Collier, Tuesday, 2 October 2007 17:10 (sixteen years ago) link

That's odd; FYAD is usually so embracing of furries.

Tho they did get rid of the "Yiffy" tag years ago.

GOTT PUNCH II HAWKWINDZ, Wednesday, 3 October 2007 04:45 (sixteen years ago) link

Only the FiestaCat was commissioned, for five dollars I think, as a thank-you to someone at SA who was defending my work. I have a request thread in POE, but it isn't cartoons for pay; I just work down the list when I have some spare time and draw whatever anyone would like. None of those cartoons have been posted here.

I've been banned for close to a year by moderator Ozma at SA. I posted an article about my winning an award from an alternative newsweekly which mentioned SA, and another about Google notifying me that they were dropping faithmouse from the search term 'Britney Spears no underwear' because they had discovered a 'hidden' St. Michael The Archangel prayer on my site, and she said I was just shamelessly using SA to promote my cartoon. I logged in a few times since then, but all I get is a picture of a semen-covered penis embraced by a tarantula.

Anyway, thanks for posting.

Because Environmentalists are part of a religion based on pure fantasy whereas other religions adhere to pure scientific fact.

I don't much care about SA drama, but I'd like some more details on this bit.
