Misdirected emails

I don't like this direction at all.... I do understand the Home Office wanting to have all this completed very systematically and very robotically by everyone every month! BUT - this will lead to less entrepreneurship and the restaurant company on a path of "wait for the Home Office to tell us what to do" and over time this list will grow large and suffocating. Kind of like the labor tool being dropped over and over and over and over... "I get it" but come on already! I think this is all backwards. If a Partner or JVP needs to improve on something or is not doing something they should get the direction needed from the appropriate superior. They should not be given a to do list so that hopefully things run as the HO wants them to run out in the field. There are some great Partners in the company that do not need any help to perform very well for Outback given freedom to do so. Give a leader, hired to lead, a check list of what do to will just frustrate them and cause undo and unneeded stress for them, it will also so change the way they currently operate. Yes - some of us do need pushed to concentrate on the right things at certain times because we have several thing going on ALL of the time. Anyway My OPINION is that it seems like it is harmless and easy and it will make thing better but no matter what cologne you put on it still smells like crap! You know that I will spin this in a positive manner and in the favor of the company to my area. We will also comply to it. But please know that if it were my decision I would not be driving in this direction. This direction will lead to less ideas in the future. Partners will be running to the office to make another check on the list rather than figuring out how to get food to customers without making them come into the restaurant to pick it up. I would be addressing the low performances and performers as I do and many others of us in the field do. I would not be mandating operational policies in this manner.

we are planning on tailgating sunday mornign before the girls 1:30 basketball game. To do it right we must all chip in some "dough" hehe, for what we wanna bring.
So we are assuming that we will have about 20 guys coming, who rabbi kroll agreed to smuggle in without charge, and there will be no girls allowed.
What we need to buy is the following:

4. Charcol for the grill
5. lighter fluid

7. chairs

If you have a circular grill that is for charcoal that you think is big enough email me back or text jeremy rosh. If you have Chairs like those that you bring to camp please bring those. If you have a cooler for drinks please bring that. Jeff is bringing drinks so thats coveres

Not so much an email but at work once we had an absolute bitch of an employee who we later fired for her attitude and poor performance. She was walking around raving that she worked twice as hard as everyone else in the building, and I was so sick of it, I went to send an instant message to a friend to whine "So and So said she works twice as hard as everyone in the building".

But I sent it to the bitch herself. Panicked, knowing this is going to cause a war we don't need on the floor, I send a few follow-up messages to try to spin it in a positive light, but it's failing. I poke my head around the corner and see that the moron hasn't even opened the message as it is still blinking in the toolbar at the bottom.

Then, she gets called away to a monthly meeting with her manager, and does not follow procedure and lock her computer when she's away from it. I nonchalantly walk over to it and close the message and walk by to my desk. Disaster averted!

I was out walking with my Grandson. He picked up something off of the ground and started to put it in his mouth. I took the item away from him and I asked him not to do that. Why? my Grandson asked.

"Because it's been on the ground; you don't know where it's been. It's dirty, and probably has germs," I replied.

At this point, my Grandson looked at me with total admiration and asked, "Grandma, how do you know all this stuff?? You are so smart."

I was thinking quickly and said to him, "All Grandmas know stuff. It's on the Grandma Test. You have to know it, or they don't let you be a Grandma."

We walked along in silence for 2 or 3 minutes, but he was evidently pondering this new information. "Oh....I get it! he beamed, So if you don't pass the test you have to be the Grandpa".
