im not really standing by the "grocery bags 'got' things" interpretation but its the only one that even approaches the world of meaning to me

The best I can come up with that is an incredibly clumsy riff on the slang term "bag", although what "grocery" is supposed to add is a total mystery to me unless Gudda Gudda is an ILX lurker and that is a reference to his grocery groin.

i think Wayne himself kinda pioneered the new school of shamelessly stupid punchlines and juvenile poop/pop culture references and Kanye, Young Money, etc. are mainly following his lead, although he may have been following Cam'ron's lead to an extent too. There's always been a strain of this stuff in rap, though, it just used to be more in balance. Biggie would say "girls pee pee when they see me" but he'd also say something actually clever in the same song.
