bit on Torchlight this time

I joined the Steam ILG group; I think it works; the interface isn't great.

Can a mod change the title to "rolling GOG/Steam specials"?

Freedom Force and FF vs 3rd Reich is $2 - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/1662/
Xcom apocalyse/enforcer/interceptor/terror from the deep/ufo defense is $2 - http://store.steampowered.com/sub/964/

forksclovetofu, Sunday, 31 January 2010 06:35 (fourteen years ago) link

I was using the rolling PC thread for that but felt kinda shillish to update the thread every few weeks just for GOG and Steam sales. Hope you guys didn't miss $2 Psychonauts this week. Y'all should be hitting CAG constantly anyway for this stuff.

Nhex, Sunday, 31 January 2010 06:52 (fourteen years ago) link

argh, i did! let's be shills and keep this updated.

forksclovetofu, Sunday, 31 January 2010 06:59 (fourteen years ago) link

Titan Quest with addon pack is five bucks; will anyone rep for it?
― forksclovetofu, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 2:21 PM (50 minutes ago)

from 2006 summer thread:

I have started Titan Quest, it is amusing in the Diablo ways, I suppose. I never played Diablo/Diablo 2, though, so the idea never had a chance to really stale.
― Will M. (Will M.), Tuesday, 4 July 2006 19:24 (3 years ago) Permalink

I don't relaly rmeember playing it except vaguely I remember starting it and going "meh" and quitting, so, not memorable. If you have Torchlight play it instead!

The controls are janky (Will M.), Wednesday, 3 February 2010 20:12 (fourteen years ago) link

i do and i will

forksclovetofu, Wednesday, 3 February 2010 20:20 (fourteen years ago) link

Torchlight really put the Diablo bug back in me after ten years, so I'll probably get this. Also, it has multiplayer, which TL sadly does not, and I'm in the mood for that.

Nhex, Wednesday, 3 February 2010 22:24 (fourteen years ago) link

TQ has gotten hype from some quarters too, some prefer it to Torchlight - it's supposedly a lot longer, more diverse environments and better class mixing.

Nhex, Wednesday, 3 February 2010 22:28 (fourteen years ago) link

Trine for $5 on Steam. Worth it? Y/N? Jeff, I remember you were waiting for this one.

GOG just released Master of Orion 1+2 for $6. Also Outcast for $6. not a sale.

abanana, Tuesday, 20 April 2010 17:02 (fourteen years ago) link

MOO2 is kinda classic though dated, Outcast is one of those games that sounds pretty interesting, but I wonder if it'll hold up at all today.

Nhex, Tuesday, 20 April 2010 17:05 (fourteen years ago) link

Always curious about MOO2.

It's at that tempting price where I think... will I ever play these again? Is it worth the couple bucks so that in that case I won't have to hunt for the discs?

I have waited about eight months for Fallout 3: GOTY to drop down to $20, and it's at $25 right now on Steam - question is, will I actually get around to playing it within the next six months or whenever the game finally gets a permanent price drop...

Batman AA: GOTY is $20 on Steam right now, too (but I'm still angry about my save deletion)

Nhex, Thursday, 10 June 2010 19:27 (thirteen years ago) link

They're doing EA specials all this week, one per day, only for 24 hours each. The Command & Conquer series is on sale right now.

GOG has the Tex Murphy games 30-50% off... all worth it except maybe 1+2, which many people got for free last year anyway.
