seriously i don't even listen to this album as song after song, it just seems like a connected suite of moods that one passes through like a corridor without ever really realising when one ends and the next begins

so otm - just listened again and really unable to choose any one over the others. maybe not "coconut" - i often end with "keep the streets empty for me", which feels like perfect closure.

actually, it'd be between "if i had a heart", "seven", "triangle walks", "now's the only time i know" and "keep the streets empty for me".

'When I grow up' for me. I like when the guitar line comes in round the second verse and it makes the vocals soar softly above the persistent, sterile synths. Sort of reminds me of the kind of tricks Radiohead were pulling on amnesiac, which is quite fine in my book.

"Now's The Only Time I Know" is the only song I can't remember by looking at the title, yet I am certain I love every song on this album.

the ones i'm not considering - "when i grow up", which as a single i found underwhelming; "concrete walls", which is great but more of a transition mood piece; "coconut", which i rarely listen to because "keep the streets empty for me" is such a perfect, perfect song and closer

I tend to agree with you, although sometimes I think 'Concrete Walls' is my fave, until the next song starts that is.

"Concrete Walls" was the other song I was considering picking until I was reminded of exactly which song "Now's The Only Time I Know" was.

Yeah, that was the big surprise to me - figured Now's the Only Time I Know would at least place about I'm Not Done and maybe Coconut.

This track is probably just loved most by people who don't vote on polls imo.

Has anyone noted what seems to be a direct reference in 'Keep the Streets Empty for Me' to the awesome 60s psych track 'We are the Moles'?
