put strawberries on a mix for work a couple months ago (we all did this and agreed not to complain abt anybody else's choices) and now this is super popular. workmates thought it was pretty funny that this song we all sing all the time now is by a not very well known unsigned band from NY.

I got these headphones from the library desk and I think they're kind of shit, so the production sounds too thin but I think it's probably just the headphones. Songs seem strong so far.

I enjoyed this more when I listened to it again with the lady. I had to get over the initial downer of it not having that freaky prince-like energy. I'm still a little disappointed but the songs are good.

striking was a grower so ill give this more time, but right now there are only a coupla moments that i really dig & everything else is ~~... i didnt like lime/wyn that much either...

listened to this a couple more times--i think the songwriting is just as strong here as in the past. just not nearly as immediately gratifying as modern promise. much closer to striking.

he was a good friend is the kind of song you really have to hear a few times, unlike say, night watchman

night watchman is the most phil song on that album tho

or really its the most peter song

haven't warmed up to the new record yet. all his previous stuff was simple and not as ornate as the new record. but that's how it usually goes when i hear something new that's on its way up.

i do dig his old school focus on the front man in his videos. would love to see him live.

they played almost every song from all three albums, i think

they were better than when i saw them at zebulon i think--a couple missed lighting cues, and one or two of the live arrangements was weird/off, but dude is a great showman and theyve got so much energy

also they have a drummer now which makes a big difference

francis screwed up my favorite track (knees) but he was electrifying. so much fun.
