[Then what film am I thinking of? I think it was a short by Fassbinder in which he and his mother discuss the holocaust. Fassbinder's "character" is doing drugs throughout.]

The film was called "Germany in Autumn." It was a compilation of shorts by German directors made in response to the Baader-Meinhof incident.

I have only seen "Bitter Tears..." and I liked it a lot. Really intersting to watch the shifting dynamics of the relationships, as Petra goes from dominant to dominated, and tries to go back at the very end. I was worried that a film shot entirely in one apartment would become trying but it never did.
