see now while "When I'm Gone" is pure drip-dookie, I always hated "Here Without You" more.
they really were a curiosity, a charisma black hole that had really nothing distinct about them. Nickleback sucked but Kroeger's vocals, whether you liked them or not, were at least something you could link to the band. Three Doors Down dude could basically be interchanged with people that sing his songs at karaoke night.
will never understand to this day how people STILL go nuts for "Kryptonite". 2000 was a weird assed year.
