I start to think about the young kids that start watching us and pick up a guitar ... what is their music going to be like in say ten, twelve, fourteen years. It's going to be really incredible, there are going to be some really good things coming up. I don't think we can start to think what the music will be like in fifteen years time.

I rocked side 2 of Olias Of Sunhallow the other day and it sounded pretty damn good! Lotta cool wall-of-melody synth stuff on that one.
Olias Of Sunhillow, yo! ;)
Recently have seen it twice or thrice rather cheap-priced, yet have always hesitated to buy teh thing. Don't actually remember how it sounded either.

Jon Anderson is a great singer, with a highly original voice. But he sure has some strange ideas at times.

Jon Seeks Choral Singers, Keyboardists, Rap Producers! 7/21/2007 - A while back, we posted a message calling on keyboard players to contact us if they were interested in collaborating with Jon. The response was tremendous, and as a result Jon is currently working with a number of excellent musicians on some exciting new musical projects.
Jon was so delighted by all the outstanding artists who responded to the call that he is now inviting additional "Symphonic and World Music keyboard players and orchestrators" to submit samples of their work for possible collaboration.
Jon has also started work on three large-scale choral projects and a work he calls a "rap opera", so he has expanded his search to talented choral singers and rap producers as well!
If you are a keyboard player OR a choral singer (male or female) OR an experienced rap producer and you're interested in working with Jon, please send a sample of your work to j✧✧.ander✧✧✧.webmas✧✧✧@gm✧✧✧.c✧✧ following these guidelines:
1. MP3 File Format, GOOD QUALITY recording.
2. No longer than 1 minute in length (you can make it part of one piece, or a collage of parts from different works if you'd like.)
3. File size no larger than 2MB
4. Music/singing/rap only, PLEASE NO SPOKEN MESSAGES TO JON!
Audio files that meet these criteria will be compiled for Jon to review. If Jon is inspired by what he hears, we'll be in touch - it's as simple as that!

On the marquee of the TLA in Philadelphia once: "JON ANDERSON PRESENTS A WORK IN PROGRESS"
I thought that was kind of all-time pretentious in a way that you can only forgive him for and laugh

I am having a hard time respecting Jon Anderson as a lyricist, but he is a great singer with a distinctive voice, and also a good composer.

You've recently become an American citizen. What factors lead to that decision?
I'm a big believer in the policies of Obama. It's a crazy world when half the country doesn't believe in him. I've been in the U.S. for 25 years and I thought it was time I became a part of the change.
Early on in life, you wanted to be a soccer player. How different would your life had been if you had been successful in that sport?
Oh my God, I was just talking soccer with a friend of mine. I am a huge Manchester United fan. When I was 9 years old, I was the mascot for my hometown team. But now, I am a big fan of American football. I am a 49ers fan. I know that won't go down too well in Dallas.
Do you go to many games?
My wife and I have been to a few. We were so devastated when the Giants beat us, but at least the Giants won the Super Bowl, so we were beaten by the best team.
Is it true you were once a milk man?
Yes, I worked on a farm with my brother. We would get up every morning at 5:30. I was 10 years old and I did that until I was 14. We would deliver milk and eggs to the families that lived around us. We would get a week off in the summer and two days off for Christmas. It was a tough life. It made me a good worker.

It's Sunday morning and there's nothing on the telly but I've stumbled across a 1964 British film called "Just For You", which is basically a compilation of "videos" of mostly forgotten and undistinguished musical acts, and I just realized that Jon Anderson is in one of them.
