filth: awful. this is like the music that would be on something like Save The Last Dance, that sort of film about a struggling black dancer in the heart of the Big Apple. and he meets this woman who trains him. this would be the bit where he's coming back to life in the spotlight. and he'd be in the spotlight, and he'd just be rehearsing...and he does these spins, and suddenly he'd spin around and there'd be a whole crowd of people.

'the black goddess rises' is a really good tune.

hard to tell how serious these guys were even way back then, but this tune is... competent and fun!

I quite enjoy their cover of Heaven 17's "Temptation."

Oh yeah it's the only CoF record that is worth holding on to. Does everything the band ever wanted to convey in a brief and intense thirty-odd minutes.

Yes, I have specific objection to Cradle of Filth melodies, some of which use hejaz and other Islamic-influenced musical scales. They think we do not notice this! Ha! We notice, Dani Filth, we hear it all. Of this black metal impurity I will only say this: when you sleep under the frostmoon, wholly unwatched are your carrots and your cabbages. No more than this need be said.
