besotted acrostic love-poems
^^^ keep it up!!

haha i pursued a girl for four months, dated, went to movies, went on walks, wrote besotted acrostic love-poems, found my heart's desire...unfortunately, she found herself as well, and wound up in a long-term relationship (still going!) with another girl.
she had been bisexual, before she met me.

well yeah, as I imagine LJ's probably still is, since getting into a relationship with a woman after having been in a relationship with a man is the very definition of bisexual.

if some cougar hollered at my arse on the street i'd kick it's face off.
See, I'd just doff my cap, say, "Why, thank you, Ma'am," and continue on my merry way.

so what critics said The Sopranos was crap besides Armond White?

it was weird how "hot" Tarantino's scripts were at the time, considering writing is not really his strong point

I haven't seen any of the ones after Robin Hood (its Radio City run). I also don't remember seeing any of the classic First Five til adulthood.
As an E.T. fan, I voted for Bambi.

A perfect simulacrum such as Tuomas, the robot child, can become real only if it exhibits the most human characteristic: the ability to dream, to wish for impossible things. By dreaming about the blue fairy who will turn him into a real boy, David has already become real or human (the two are considered identical in the film). What makes the simulated being real is its desire to be real: the desire to be real cannot itself be simulated, which proves that it is a reliable criterion for differentiating between the real and the simulated. However, the positing of the desire to be real as the distinguishing mark of the real makes the real lacking in itself. The real is defined as that which lacks reality, that which wants to become real.

I'm just mildly intrigued by how someone can tell me to calm down whilst simultaneously giving their own (wildly inaccurate and unfair) character assassination. You seem to have set yourself against a certain type, and for the purposes of convenience have made me adhere to that type come hell or high water. I don't aim to bring pleasure here, I aim to let off steam and air my opinions so that others might contend them. Instead of contending, you've aimed cheap shots ('Oxbridge whimsy' indeed, o thou frightful nincompoop) at the speaker. If I was trying to patronise you, I'd do it so much better, my dear fellow. You'd barely notice.
Anyway, I'm off for a bit. Lurk away.
