My sister worked to register voters in Wisconsin and she told me about how W came to speak and had a photo op at some diner place and he ordered two apple fritters, and when they came out they were each like the size of a dinner plate and it was funny because it was our president with TWO GIANT APPLE FRITTERS.

I have actually done work today, which is unusual, but I am still freaking out about a deadline that is three weeks away.

Of course, starting in about an hour I will be a relaxed musician for the rest of the weekend.

That figures, it was in Wausau. Although it could have been in Janesville.

Some co-workers of mine were in Wausau around the same time doing work in a hospital, and they brought in THE WHITE PHONE, i.e. the hotline to the White House just in case Dubya choked on his fritters.

I just senselessly frittered away 20 mins playing online poker staggeringly well, albeit with pretend money. I now have a ridiculously high opinion of my skeelz, which will no doubt result in BIG LAFFS next time I try to play the game for ca$h.

Longest 15mins of my life...

I am going to the pub tonight and then DJing later, and watching Spurs bomb out of the FA Cup on Sunday. Apart from that this weekend is a joyously uneventful blank slate full of epic adventures waiting to happen. Yerselves?

I've filled in the timesheet, am talking to you guys, waiting for one of my best friends to ring so I can find out if she's in London yet and wondering when my mother's gonna drag me to Marleybone to pick up sis and if she's coming back before 10 or 11 so I can go to Club Seal after all (doubt it, sadly, she'z off to the ballet, which does inspire envy).

I get my own login next week. Looks like the chain they put at my desk is here to stay.

My timesheet is so complicated that I literally fill in 30min of admin overhead each week for it. It's an Extensity product that runs in yr web browser, and launches some bizarre external java app, you can't put in job numbers directly but rather have to "search" for them, even though you know what they are already..
