Yeah the xmas/birthday combo sucks as does the fact that it's really tough to get ppl to motivate to do something during that week.

one of my best friends in hs had her birthday on Christmas, and at least wanted her advertised free meal at Denny's on your birthday - but even Denny's was closed that day.

That is a true tale of woe

my other best friend's mom actually went to that Denny's and complained for her, and they gave her a voucher for a free meal on any day they were open.
