"in the mouth a desert" used to be one of my favs but i've tired of it so much. the best songs are "here" & "summer babe" but "loretta's scars" and "zurich is stained" are right behind

the last band i was in covered that as our first song together at our first practice at the request of the bass player and me, but the drummer was a death metal drummer and sort of the odd man out, not really familiar with pavement, at all really, so he used all these fast tom fills and double bass blast beats. the song had never sounded worse~
