I never heard that. Either of those things.

Seriously??? I lived there for part of a summer w/my ex-boyfriend - we ate at Steak & Shake a lot.

but cute little jars of chili

jazzgasms (Mr. Que), Saturday, 21 November 2009 19:57 (fourteen years ago) link

But how did that suggest to you that I was from there?

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 19:57 (fourteen years ago) link

I think the Home Depot near where he lived was open 24 hours.

The fries are good with cheese on them.

I don't know, some revelations just make things seem more mysterious. Like John's, or Swedenbourg's.

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 19:58 (fourteen years ago) link

But what

how

I don't get it.

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 19:58 (fourteen years ago) link

xp - I asked because of the dude in the picture's sweatshirt.

sarahel, Saturday, 21 November 2009 19:59 (fourteen years ago) link

Oh, so it's just a coincidence that I happen to be from there.

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:07 (fourteen years ago) link

yes. It's weird - one of my exes is from there, my bff from grade school/junior high is currently at IU getting an MFA in theater, and one of my best friends from high school went there for undergrad in the music program.

i almost went 2 med school in indiana

Lamp, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:11 (fourteen years ago) link

but no swords and shields offended of scottish nationalist sensibility

Lamp, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:12 (fourteen years ago) link

Taylor University is a really weird place -- they had the worst public art of any college campus I've ever seen.

sarahel, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:13 (fourteen years ago) link

Now that I think of it, I've never seen a sword or shield in Indiana. It's like I don't even know what one looks like.

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:13 (fourteen years ago) link

xpost That's like having the worst piles on an anus.

bamcquern, Saturday, 21 November 2009 20:13 (fourteen years ago) link

Actually the "sculpture" in front of the main campus building or administrative headquarters or whatever looked exactly like a giant turd.
