A lot of them aren't so crusty anymore, though, you know? Like you go to Minneapolis and spot some face-tatooed bike-messenger folks, and yeah, crusty, but then there's plenty of well-groomed grad-student types, and ... I dunno, at this point it's like a spectrum between crusty, the guy who works at a university and listens to world music, and just average types.

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) -- About 10,000 Juneau residents briefly lost power after a bald eagle lugging a deer head crashed into transmission lines.

"You have to live in Alaska to have this kind of outage scenario," said Gayle Wood, an Alaska Electric Light & Power spokeswoman. "This is the story of the overly ambitious eagle who evidently found a deer head in the landfill."

BEHOLD FIRE-DEAN AND THE SECRET AGENTS

Courtesy of my good and dear friend George Burroughs, director and bon vivant, The Secret Agents,

...is a documentary currently in production which follows the hip hop dance group, "Fire-Dean and the Secret Agents", from street performances to stage. The group is comprised of five middle-aged men who dance to Fire-Dean's brand of hip hop. Based out of Washington D.C. they perform anywhere in the world at any giving time in the universe.

There are two other spots,

Here (2:09)
Here (:15)

Here (:30)

This particular project is of some importance to me as George will have my legs broke if I don't hype the shit out it (that and I have an outstanding crew offer if they get picked up for commercials). So please visit and forward to your friends, family, and lover(s)!

jimmy, i know you do production, or is it editing? waht is specialty?

the kwisatz bacharach (sanskrit), Tuesday, 30 January 2007 03:14 (seventeen years ago) link

I do all things. I make a living doing freelance ENG audio and electric for several companies and stations. I prefer camera; shot a few pilots and do b-roll/2nd camera for an HD provider. I enjoy still photo most though. I know how to edit, though I wouldn't say I'm gifted @ it.

A disc of a test engine of X-treme exists. A copy was sold at auction to an anonymous collector in September 2005, and a high-quality gameplay video was expected to be released by the end of the year. As of now, only an animated GIF image of the gameplay has been released to the community.

they keep pushing that out...first it was color, then b/w, then just a few keys etc...

eventually all keyboards will be like that and it'll be nice.

That's photoshop right there.

The concept of the theriomorphic god and especially of the bull god, however, may all too easily efface the very important distinctions between a god named, described, represented, and worshipped in animal form, a real animal worshipped as a god, animal symbols and animal maskes used in the cult, and finally the consecrated animal destined for sacrifice. Animal worship of the kind found in the Egyptian Apis cult is unknown in Greece. (Greek Religion, 1985).

I luuuuurve me some Minoans what with their indoor plumbing and their upside-down columns and snake-wrangling and those bare-breasted jackets the statues all wear. Trip to Knossos/Crete is one of life goals!
