I just checked my email and thought the wording of this was funny:

Gov. Howard Dean How did this happen? - The Democratic Party ... This year will be remembered as another moment when Americans … 4:37 pm

Remarkable how noone has commented on (presumably) the daughter, to the right of mom. She's not just looking sad, but more so looking very "Why is my bastard dad such a prick?! And why was I dragged on stage to back him up?!"
Now there's an image of the impact of shocking teen realisation for ya...

it was only the crooked mouth that tipped me off

"I don't know, Dick. I think Lynne's stuff here is a bit too steamy for my tastes."

You guys oversold the speech a little bit -- he's always been a subpar public speaker, though he was more inflection-happy than usual.

The answers to the press questions, though: mortifying. It was like watching a man shrink before your eyes. Embarrassed. Irritated. Bewildered. Annoyed! (Also hoarse.)

Eddie fucking Deezen would've been more authortative.

I really don't ever want to look at Santorum in any context, especially Aphex Santorum.

Fitzgerald concedes to Murphy in PA-8

still outstanding...

auto-recount in CT-2
absentee ballots in OH-2
counting continues in NM-1

gabbneb (gabbneb), Thursday, 9 November 2006 00:49 (seventeen years ago) link

but we lost PA-6, and while recount is possible in WY-AL, it doesn't look promising

That picture of Santorum and family looks like a still shot out of Arrested Development. It cracked me up.

Earl Nash (earlnash), Thursday, 9 November 2006 02:17 (seventeen years ago) link

That Santorum shot ought to win a Pulitzer.

Virginia was my hometown state! WOOHOO! That Republican guy he beat had been in the state's politics for what must have been at least 15 years. My dad worked in state government and used to complain about him back when I was too young to understand a lot of things.

If Morbius needs a reason to cry over Ford's loss: imagine how hard they could have fucked Lieberman if he wasn't required for the majority.

That would have been the third-most enjoyable thing about this election, after Rummy and Mr. Lube & Fecal Matter.

milo z (mlp), Thursday, 9 November 2006 06:32 (seventeen years ago) link

ok, so i was wrong and you were right re whether lieberman would stay a dem or jump to the GOP.

(i still don't like the dude, tho').
