A countdown to egg nog.

this thread made me want to get egg nog and then I did and now I am drinking it

i made all this egg nog on bourbon day but i have not been in the mood since. maybe i should throw a party.

sometimes you don't it's just for mere satisfaction

i'm not just another nog in the machine

wondering if i could do a quick soy nog imitation with the stuff left in my house.

3 cups soymilk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1/4-1/2 tsp rum extract
pinch nutmeg
1-2 TBSP oil

Combine in blender until smooth and serve hot or cold.

Chocolate nog:

* 1 cup milk
* 1 1/2 cups chocolate milk
* 5 eggs
* 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
* 1/2 cup whipping cream
* 1/2 cup Kahlua (or strong coffee)
* 1/2 cup dark rum
* 1/2 tsp ground cinammon

Sorta, yeah. Just try it - it's good. I can only have a very little bit at a time though.

I still have a third of a bottle of Evan Williams Egg Nog sitting in my fridge begging me to drink it.

i made a pumpkin pie and accidentally made the crust a little too big for the filling, so i made up the difference by just pouring egg nog into the crust. i wasn't sure if it would turn out, and my bf and i waited with bated breath to see if it would. it did, and it is the best pumpkin pie i've ever made.

Yeah that sounds amazing. I made french toast with eggnog once. It was divine.

just had a cup of Silk nog

the supermarket still hasn't restocked the silk nog which is the best and least awful for you and I'm so pissed I mean WTF Stop and Shop? This is unacceptable imo. They blew the silk wad way too early and now we all suffer. Sucks.
