A countdown to egg nog.

I haven't had egg nog w/alcohol in it, so perhaps that's what I'm missing. It's literally been over 10 years since I last partook of the Nog

btw have i mentioned i was a maid in annie in community theater production and i listened to the og broadway strk religiously as a kid (i used to use flip flops to make tap dancey noises as i danced and sang along with it)?

so i know like, all those songs.
you know, if we were gonna like, have a sing along or something...

i made all this egg nog on bourbon day but i have not been in the mood since. maybe i should throw a party.

wondering if i could do a quick soy nog imitation with the stuff left in my house.

3 cups soymilk
1/2 cup sugar
1 tsp. pure vanilla
1/4-1/2 tsp rum extract
pinch nutmeg
1-2 TBSP oil

Combine in blender until smooth and serve hot or cold.

Chocolate nog:

* 1 cup milk
* 1 1/2 cups chocolate milk
* 5 eggs
* 1/4 cup brown sugar (packed)
* 1/2 cup whipping cream
* 1/2 cup Kahlua (or strong coffee)
* 1/2 cup dark rum
* 1/2 tsp ground cinammon
