For gallstones drink 2 cups of extra virgin olive oil and lay on your right side.... gall bladder down. The olive oil will flood into your gall bladder and help to ease the passing of any stones that are small enough to not require surgery.
STAY CLOSE TO THE BATHROOM ! ! ! !
I cannot stress this point enough..... you will suddenly need the bathroom RIGHT NOW!!! It may take 15 minutes or it could take several hours but it WILL HAPPEN.
The olive oil will pass harmlessly thru your system as well as flushing out any stones and emptying the bile from your gall bladder.
I have not had the pleasure of gallstones but my Father in law did (note the past tense) He did this and it completely cleared up his problem. (nasty greasy green slime was his description of the after effects of this treatment)

I dunno... I might just get an ultrasound to start with ;)

The sudden ingestion of the massive amount of liquid fat forces the gall bladder to empty plus the lubrication from the oil helps the stuck stones to slide right on out.
Sure, there may be temporary mild discomfort, but figuring the alternative of continued constant pain or surgery...... or if you are lucky your Dr. may use ultrasound to bust up the jagged stones into many smaller even more jagged pieces to let them pass........
It's just a suggestion but it does work if the stones aren't too big.

There is a lot of information on the web, such as About, but you have to keep in mind that anyone can post anything they like on-line, so really your best resource will be medical professionals.

One good thing tho: it forces me to avoid fats. Great diet!

^^^^^ Looking forward to hobbling through a long bar shift tonight. But I had about a day of warning signs, long enough to get my indomethacin refilled yesterday while I was getting a strep test. So the toe felt broken this morning but just feels badly stubbed now. Ha, fuck you gout!
