"are we not men?" is classic. after that gets more spotty.

mothersbaugh makes some great soundtrax. "ping island/lightning strike" is a pretty fuckin awesome song from the life aq. soundtrack.

I like to watch the first half of the DVD when I'm stoned as fuck, but other than that I don't care. I like LL Cool J.

I love the first five albums, especially 'Are We Not Men' for the punk and 'Oh No it's Devo' for the completely fucked synthpop. there's a reason there's been no revival; they are too weird.

big drop off in quality after 1983 though

best place to start might be the DVD compiling the videos, which are neat: http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B000089QCI/qid=1105479911/sr=1-1/ref=sr_1_1/002-2805807-7276068?v=glance&s=dvd

I find myself singing "Girl U Want" and "Wiggly World" a lot lately.

I brought "Peek-A-Boo" to cotillion when I was in elementary school and we got to dance to one pop record at the end of each class. What a faggy new waver thing to do . . .

'new traditionalists' was the first record I ever bought in 1982, and 'oh no it's devo' was the second
