The bandana has something to do with a car accident years ago. He injured his head.

Hey little steven! Can I give you a noggie? (is that the correct spelling?)

x-post

Who was the black guy with the bleached mohawk riding the bike in his old music video?

BlastsOfStatic (BlastsofStatic), Friday, 11 March 2005 18:40 (nineteen years ago) link

I think it's 'noogie' or 'nuggy.'

I think that was Jean Beauvoir, also of the Plasmatics..

Oooh, err...sorry about my flippancy, then.

Yeah, but I don't think he needs to wear it anymore. He started wearing it after an accident, and then it just became his thing. So, again, what's with the bandana then?

does he have an animated gif of him playing the goofy guitar lick on "Glory Days" with the other E Streeters crowding around him? and if so, can I have a link?

(does he still play in the sopranos? i live a century behind everyone else here in medieval bruges so i'm still stuck with season ONE, yeah ONE.)

Yeah, but I don't think he needs to wear it anymore.

Apparently he's still has a lot of scar tissue from the burns up there. It's also why he has the weird hairpiece in the Sopranos.

[OFF-TOPIC: I love Bruges. I spent quite a few hammered days and nights there in 1997. I even got robbed, and that was fun! Saw a great band play some Afgha Whigs covers].

seventeen years pass...

perhaps you guys who are active presently on other threads will see this… I see that Springsteen says that VZ had a lot to do with the signature guitar lick in "BTR"… do we or anyone else know what are the signature guitar parts or solos on any of the songs from Darkness through BitUSA that he plays? Is that him at the beginning of "You Can Look"? wiki says that he played a lot of the solos live in the 70s…

I thought the thing about “BTR” was that there was supposed to be a Roy Orbison-like bend from minor to major third but VZ couldn’t hear it because of the mix which led to some eleventh-hour overdubbing and remixing. That’s all I got.

I think he doesn't want anyone to remember this

probly doesn't want anyone to remember this, either, but I think it's excellent, like somebody at EMI said "you gotta do something like 'Jump,' can you do that?" And he could!

And I like that Dino Danelli was like, "yeah I'll dress up like a member of Honeymoon Suite! Sure! As long as that check clears…" whereas Jean Beauvoir dresses like that to take out the garbage…Not gonna link it, but Beauvoir does these "melodic rock" events that you can see on YT, and he hasn't aged a day…
