1st album "ask me no questions" is great, mostly just her & guitar. title track is one of my favourite ever songs.
2nd album "songs for a gentle man" has good songs but terrible arrangements by ron geesin, too sugary & twee for my tastes esp. the donovan cover. ugh.
later albums have some good songs but more of a 70s singer/songwriter vibe about them.

Trough ebay you can see any albums sometimes. She was edited in Dandelion John Peel's label. I list St. John with another interesting female folk singers from that era: Linda Perhacs, Anne Brigs, Vashti Bunyan, Judee Sill, Karen Dalton...

Or alternately: "Songs for the gentleman" is astonishingly gorgeous. At least to my ears it is.

Here's a link to my review from the Lost in the Grooves book:

night before a big presentation and paper due and this is mellowing me out a lot

end of "i like to be with you in the sun" so quietly amazing, with the brief echoed fade out

I'm listening to her a lot at the moment - seems to fit the premature August autumn. Ask Me Know Questions is a gorgeous track from the first album but it's Songs for the Gentle Man that I keep going to most. Lazarus off the third album is astounding too.

I think you can now get everything pre Jumblequeen on a box set dedicated to her Dandelion years. Think it also has a lot of Peel radio sessions etc.
That is to differentiate Peel as radio DJ from Dandelion label head.

I think Jumblequeen is still out through Hux.

I've been meaning to pick up physical copies of both
