I like the look of 2D barcodes. Never had call to use one of any variety, though.
I'm surprised mobile phones can read them without alignment issues, thinking of how pretty much every time I try to take a phonecam pic of a rectangular object I cannot get the edges parallel. Seems like it would be quite computationally difficult to compensate for.
