Lol Americans.
We can implement with the proviso that nobody's allowed to talk about politics taking place in their own country.

just saying, there's not likely to be the same volume of discussion post-US elections, at least for a while. Anyway, I'd rather have discussion of important shit that I care about be on the main page, rather than a sub-board that I'll forget to read. Isn't the point of sub-boards to be for fun/hobbies/specialized stuff?
btw i would support I Love Candyland.

I feel politically homeless. I want about 90% of the UK political classes to be liquidated. But all I could find in the last Labour manifesto was boring stuff about bringing PFI's back in house, re-nationalising utilities and public transport, not being such dicks to the poor and disabled etc...
― calzino, Sunday, 9 September 2018 15:28 (five years ago) link
having a bunch of parallel US politics threads would be a drag - same articles getting posted/discussed in multiple places. the dem party direction one is distinct enough, because they're not in govt and don't drive most of the main politics news etc.
― got the scuba tube blowin' like a snork (Doctor Casino), Sunday, 9 September 2018 17:03 (five years ago) link
Yeah, I agree. I think the solution is for trump to not be president. He dominates us politics, therefore he dominates the us politics thread. This’ll work itself out.

― Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 September 2018 18:27 (five years ago) link
Amendment required. Needs ratification from 2/3rds of thread posters plus gabbnebb
― fuck the NRA (Neanderthal), Sunday, 9 September 2018 18:29 (five years ago) link
Is there a real answer to this? The thread revive has convinced me it is a good idea.
― Mario Meatwagon (Moodles), Sunday, 9 September 2018 18:38 (five years ago) link
not since the 69th amendment passed which states, and i quote: "Congress fhall make no Lawe in contradiction to the Notion of 'Fuck Gabbneb'" which the ilx board lawyers have interpreted to mean that we don't need his approval bc fuck gabbneb.
