I was sent into a panic by a fellow nursery parent at lunchtime today - she noticed that Alice had a peanut butter sandwich. 'Oh I thought we weren't allow to give them peanuts because of the kid who's allergic'. But surely this only applies to lunches that we send in with them if they are staying over lunch, not to things we give them if we take them out?? Or is it possible to be so allergic that you can't even be around someone who has eaten PB earlier that day??
