Ann Coulter's 60th birthday!

Actuall thought this ep was slightly weaker than the others. Still good though.

Forgot the Ann Coulter thing, but I can't imagine how, as I played it back five times.

BTW: Thanks, Rrrobyn, the episode's still on my TiVo and you're right on that line. And yeah, that's a great color combo.

The other thing I love about this show, and that none of the reviews seems to have mentioned, is how utterly lame every sketch on the fantasy show is. Fey's ultimate joke on latter-day SNL, obviously.

I dunno...I think it's Tina vs. the "ordinary" sitcom writers who she says helps her make it work, because half the jokes are totally hilarious and half are totally staid sitcom jokes that fall flat.

My favorite part was the crossword puzzle.

if they actually had yo-yo ma in that scene the joke would have been a billion times funnier.

Okay and "Muffintop" was funny.

Also the stuff about placing the products in the show was so fucking funny, especially after the Staples mentions & the shredder thing in The Office.

stoked for the madness (nickalicious), Friday, 17 November 2006 13:52 (seventeen years ago) link

I don't mean the jokes that are supposed to fall flat falling flat bothers me, I mean the jokes that are supposed to be funny but are stale, like Jane saying "put my song in" and pete saying "ok" then Jane saying "c'mon put my song in". Oldest joke in the world.

but was it funny or was it an opportunity for them to make money and then try to make us think they were just being clever?

xpost to tracer
I mean, a show could be about hillbilly child molesters, but if the material was handled properly and the jokes were funny, I'd watch it.

I tried pitching a sitcom tonight about a threesome where the "extra girl" falls in love with the couple and no one was buying! I SUE YOU NBC IF YOU TRY THIS!
