thank you for your charitable work last night guys. The BBC website only let me donate a minimum of £5, as opposed to 16.5p, so £5 it was and I plan to eat the outstanding 967 minstrels in due course.

Thank you Mr. Chu.
Your donation has been successful, and your donation of £5 will soon be helping people affected.

But - it was like, first song EVERYONE knows and loves, so you really want to go and dance to it, get excited and go up, and then you find yourself only being able to do the indie shuffle! Ha ha as if I do any other dancing BUT THAT IS NOT THE POINT. I am sure good dancers could "wind" to it or something, or do the Mandrill.

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:28 (seventeen years ago) link

I'll be there, hopefully for the duration. Unlike last week, I don't have a work night out to cover for me the next day :(

Andrew Farrell (afarrell), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:37 (seventeen years ago) link

PLEASE STAY LATE EVERYONE IF YOU CAN, I HAVE A LATE SET (1-2am) AND DO NOT WANT TO PLAY TO AN EMPTY ROOM! and you KNOW it'll be banging.

-- (688), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:41 (seventeen years ago) link

Sorry, Lex, I'm almost certainly not going to still be there at 1am, I have to work tomorrow, and be fairly compus mentis as it's the last day before my holiday and I'll have a lot of work to catch up.

Angel In Love With Her Own Pedals (kate), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:42 (seventeen years ago) link

LEX I HAVE TO FRIGGIN WORK TOMORROW

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:44 (seventeen years ago) link

I have to work tomorrow as well and have had to work since 8am today and might have to be compos mentis for a telephone interview with Cassie tomorrow at god only knows what time because her PR is let us say not as helpful as she could be!

(obv understood in all cases, esp south-of-the-river-dwellers tis a pity though :()

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:50 (seventeen years ago) link

Exactly - if it weren't for my having to go all the way back to Streatham and come all the way out again to East Acton three or four hours later, things like this would be much, much easier...but I'm working on that problem at the moment...

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 14 September 2006 09:58 (seventeen years ago) link

are you buying a giant castle in streatham that we can all live in and do discos in and everything?

CarsmileSteve (CarsmileSteve), Thursday, 14 September 2006 10:23 (seventeen years ago) link

Depends what the asking price is for the Megabowl building... ;-)

No, it looks like we're going to be moving Fulham way at some stage next year; very early days still and obv depends on a lot of other factors but at the moment it's all looking very good indeed!

Marcello Carlin (nostudium), Thursday, 14 September 2006 10:35 (seventeen years ago) link

I'm not going to make this either sadly, combination of Important Football Game + Important Meeting Tomorrow + bindeath that occurred last time I stayed late at this make it impossible.

Matt DC (Matt DC), Thursday, 14 September 2006 10:40 (seventeen years ago) link

Important Football Game

will he not like that

-- (688), Thursday, 14 September 2006 11:02 (seventeen years ago) link

i am disgusted with matt dc. when was the last time i missed one of your things for an Important Tennis Game?????

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 14 September 2006 11:06 (seventeen years ago) link

For some reason I thought Matt was talking about the West Ham game ha ha.

Not sure if I will make this (tho obv. would love to) due to work commitments. :(

Konal Doddz (blueski), Thursday, 14 September 2006 11:20 (seventeen years ago) link

i have decided that i will not play those tori amos covers of chas'n'dave.

(well i've left the cd at home, so.)

The Lex (The Lex), Thursday, 14 September 2006 12:05 (seventeen years ago) link

I should hopefully come to this! I have to make dinner for returners-from-holiday first though so i might well end up only arriving at like midnight.
