I personally enjoy Deerhoof better.But I believe that Deerhof is not better than Sufjan Stevens. I came upon them just purely by accident, there is a promo cd out on torrents, called "the world outside". Its a single and I think Ghosts is the name of the band actually. I played the single over and over, I immediately loved it. Never heard of them or the single before. will do some research on the net later tonight and get back to you.

2) Rockism is prefering almost adoring rock music over other kind of music like rap, hip hop or pop. As it started in the 80' I belive it is more in to heavy metal or hard rock not so much in rock and roll, because rock and roll includes other musical genres. But rockism is almost rasist towards hip hop or r&b and sexist towards female performers and homophobic towards disco music. So i think rockism is over rated 'favorisation' of rock music and discriminating all other kinds of music.
