It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia Supporting Characters Poll

ice cr?m, Friday, 9 October 2009 18:00 (fourteen years ago) link

Is this the most quotable show ever? This weekend, we all kept asking, in the context of the group, who we thought we were. "The Sheriff of Patty's." Also, "We're crabmen now! We live off the fat of the sea!" And, "Come get free money, Shanties!" and "No one likes to have to salt another human being. It's a horrible, horrible thing to do." It might've helped I was in Philly over the weekend.

i honestly feel there aren't enough shows that capture Philly the way this show does

Nhex, Monday, 12 October 2009 06:27 (fourteen years ago) link

Despite the fact they are all degenerates, the show really makes me want to move back home to Philly.

Mordy, Monday, 12 October 2009 06:28 (fourteen years ago) link

is this the first time in the show where the gang actually hurt someone who was not a mostly innocent bystander in the end?

Nhex, Friday, 16 October 2009 02:48 (fourteen years ago) link

There could be something delicious that wasps *do* eat and I want at it.

Mordy, Friday, 16 October 2009 05:19 (fourteen years ago) link

I loved all the bickering between Sweet Dee + Mac over who she should kiss (and then Mac's Stan-crush on Utley LOL).

I kept thinking to myself "are they saying Frenetic? Because it sounds like Frenetic," so I'm glad my hearing isn't going.

I have been trying to get my mom hooked on this show. She laughs and feigns mock-horror at some scenes, and keeps making comments like "I think that some people are a lot like this!"

mh, Monday, 26 October 2009 14:35 (fourteen years ago) link

And sometimes I think, "I think so too, mom, and that is why I am crashing at your place for a couple months. Because those some people could be me."

mh, Monday, 26 October 2009 14:36 (fourteen years ago) link

i dont want to be paraphrased i choose my words v carefully

ice cr?m, Monday, 26 October 2009 15:24 (fourteen years ago) link

lol thinking the court reporter was just getting the gist of it

I saw someone in the audience at the last Phillies game against the Dodgers dressed in the green unitard suit and wearing a Phillies hat. Pretty sure this game was before the episode aired - viral marketing? Someone in Philly is just cooler than the rest of us and saw the ep before it aired? Pretty awesome either way.

Green Man has been around for a few seasons.

Johnny Fever, Monday, 26 October 2009 17:40 (fourteen years ago) link

just watched last weeks wrestling episode. One of the best of the season for sure. How many taboos does this show fuck with?

dan selzer, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:00 (fourteen years ago) link

rowdy roddy piper did a shockingly good mickey rourke in the wrestler impression

ice cr?m, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:02 (fourteen years ago) link

omg i didn't even realize that's who that was! He should've had the acting career of Schwarzenegger...or at least Ventura.

dan selzer, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:08 (fourteen years ago) link

"who has a bucket full of chestnuts?!?!"

dan selzer, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:09 (fourteen years ago) link

looking at his imdb page he seems to have found a niche in low budget horror :/

ice cr?m, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:12 (fourteen years ago) link

its probably a lot of fun to do

definitely better than wrestling at his age, that's for sure! i mean, sure he'll never do anything as fantastic as They Live again, but such is life

Nhex, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:15 (fourteen years ago) link

dudes he was the star of THEY LIVE and he deserves better

ice cr?m, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:29 (fourteen years ago) link

anyway this weeks ep was super hilarious - staring off w/charlies kitten mittons commercial - mac and dennis gay brainstorming - staking out the lawyer from his own car looool

im wondering if the lawyer might get sucked into their orbit and go totally mad just like rickety cricket

ice cr?m, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:32 (fourteen years ago) link

considering a cat, purely for kitten mittons lols

love the lawyer!

tehresa, Friday, 6 November 2009 18:57 (fourteen years ago) link

luv when the encounter normal people and ploys like eating the contract dont work

ice cr?m, Friday, 6 November 2009 19:17 (fourteen years ago) link

love when it doesn't occur to someone that it won't work and they keep eating the contract til someone else tells them to stop!! i there was a good 5-second gap between when it occurs to the viewer 'oh he should stop eating paper now' and when they actually said it which just enhances the lol imo.

tehresa, Friday, 6 November 2009 19:20 (fourteen years ago) link

kitten mittens commercial maybe the hardest i've ever laughed at 90 seconds of television
