I'm now listening to the first Camp Lo album, and I have no idea what the fuck they're talking about at any given moment. Somehow this doesn't hurt my enjoyment.

haha i love that album, been listening to it a lot lately
trying to figure out some shit to do w/ "park joint," the vocals are so upfront and there's so little music behind the drums i want to blend it with some dance tracks or something. plus dudes sound just as silly at normal speed as sped up, as long as you don't go past 10 bpms or something

ha there was this one time i got a lift home from work with this real lyrical new york aficionado guy (seriously there's loads of these dudes around! in london! telling me about uncle murder and joell ortiz and whoever the fuck! bizarro) and the whole time he's turning his nose up at a random cd i made of regular chart rap stuff mp3s when dro 'rubberband banks' comes on - THE VERY SECOND he hears that "put u up on astronomy" / i do trigonometry" line he perks right up like it was the 2nd coming of organized konfusion and refuses to accept dro is dsouth. that's when i knew these guys are shallower than any paris hilton fan!
anyway dro's cool, i liked that album a lot.

You cool out to the music 'cause it makes you feel serene, with the birds and the bees and all those groovy things Like getting stomach aches when you gotta go to work, or staring into space when you're feeling berserk
