Oilyrags, McCain's been hitting Obama hard on this totally nonsensical "race-card" bullshit all week, so it's not hard to see Obama's reasoning here. McCain is obviously not gonna see what's kind of funny about this song.

Are there any McCain songs out there yet? rap or otherwise

I completely agree! What I'm saying is that no one convinced by the song (if such a person exists - that's not at all certain, I think) is going to be convinced by the Obama campaign's disavowal.

Also, that Luda must've known going in that with the dirty lyrical low blows that Obama would have to disavow it.

Yeah, I'm thinking Obama just has to try to shut McCain up before he even starts talking about it.

Sure. It's a bit more of a stretch, but I also doubt that anyone convinced by the argument "don't vote for Obama - that nasty rapper likes him" would have voted for him in the first place.

Yeah, but people are weird. McCain can't be a happy choice for some of these undecideds.

more disappointment for us "idealists" who dream of a world in which a candidate could say "what are you, stupid?" instead of "all swearing and meanness is totally alien to my entire being"
