See, the whole reason for this thread is that I'm in Detroit visiting my folks and this piece of sonic lard assaulted me, via rental-car radio, twice over one weekend. I'm not sure what the hell is up with Detroit radio in general: the local modern rock station played Verve Pipe's "Freshmen" at least three times in the 40 cumulative minutes I spent station-surfing. I know they're local boys and all, but I thought this sort of regionality has been wiped out by the Jacks and Steves and other DJ-less whathaveyous.

huh? i'd consider the vocals mostly just yur basic radio thirds and all (with some call and response). nothing to write home about and hardly worhty of either side of the superlative spectrum. what am i missing?
