Well, it's been damn near three YEARS, and no one has picked up Douglas'schallenge
. So I'm stepping up, muthas. (S)he who satisfies the last winning condition known only to me gets a mix CD and a pint if I ever meet any of you in real life. Rules the same as those developed on this thread, although I'm not a stickler and I like jumping eight times per post so Tom's original rule is hereby nullified or something, and Douglas's rules are just totally ignored.

So anyway, Charlie Rich, "The Most Beautiful Girl"

Plz forgive rotten html.

After the Johnny Rotten-fronted Sex Pistols split up, Glenn Matlock, who was just like Rotten neither rich, beautiful or a girl, formed The Rich Kids (1977-1979) with Midge Ure, who left for Thin Lizzy (1979) and later Ultravox.

(something like that?)

presumably, an "ultra vox" trumps a "bono vox," but both are better than having a "bad vox." therefore:

u2, "bad."

Bad was an album by Michael Jackson and it contained a song named "Smooth Criminal." Alient Ant Farm butchered "Smooth Criminal" while I was in college and my roommate at the time wanted me to go see them with him one time. Same roommate barged into my room one day to find out what song I was playing, and it was "Monkey Kong" by A. A is a terrible terrible name for a band, maybe even worse than The Band. Their album The Band had a huge hit in "Up On Cripple Creek."

This is a webpage that shows what's going on at Cripple Creek right now! "Right Now!" is the name of a really bad song written by Michael Anthony and performed by Van Hagar, whose singer used to be in a second-rate but occasionally-smokin' band called Montrose. Montrose was also the name of an elementary school in the snooty suburb where I grew up to be a man, just like the Beach Boys.

. . . as in "Boy, ILX used to be a lot more Fun Fun Fun."

(YOU ALL SUCK AND MAKE ME CRY)

(Alright, I didn't want to do this, but you've forced my hand!)

You know, "Fun Fun Fun" as in "NED RAGGETT HATES FUN." Something Ned DOESN'T hate is Smashing Pumpkins, who may be reforming, much to my chagrin. Chagrin Falls is a town in Ohio, a suburb of Cleveland in fact, and aren't Pere Ubu (who used to be Rocket From the Tombs) from Cleveland? So, "Sonic Reducer" by the Dead Boys.
