Bad was an album by Michael Jackson and it contained a song named "Smooth Criminal." Alient Ant Farm butchered "Smooth Criminal" while I was in college and my roommate at the time wanted me to go see them with him one time. Same roommate barged into my room one day to find out what song I was playing, and it was "Monkey Kong" by A. A is a terrible terrible name for a band, maybe even worse than The Band. Their album The Band had a huge hit in "Up On Cripple Creek."

"Right Now!" is the name of a really bad song written by Michael Anthony and performed by Van Hagar, whose singer used to be in a second-rate but occasionally-smokin' band called Montrose. Montrose was also the name of an elementary school in the snooty suburb where I grew up to be a man, just like the Beach Boys.
