The funny thing is that I don't actually 'like' the drumming on these records, but it's also perfect. Simple, considered, and confident, but also sloppy in a way that makes it feel more 'sampled'. Like any hot drummer you got now would probably be overly precise (even when intentionally trying to sound off-the-grid)
